Very Nice Birthday

I celebrated my birthday earlier this month.  My favorite thing to do on my special day is to go to the stores and get my free gifts, use birthday gift coupons, and use up points that I have collected from  various stores over the year.  I appreciate companies like Sephora, Ulta, Torrid and Lane Bryant for having programs like this that give their customers a little bonus.  So, this year I got a full sized Clean on Me shower gel and a beautiful Urban Decay eye shadow from Ulta.  I also got a Marc Jacobs eyeliner and lipstick as well as a Stella perfume (I used some of my VIB points on this) from Sephora.  I also used one of the free travel size item coupons at Bath & Body Works to get a Paris Amour shower gel.  From Torrid, I had been looking for a new sports bra and they had two in my size on clearance, so I used my $10 birthday coupon and $10 reward coupon to buy these numbers and only came out of my pocket with $1.  Now, I know that Lane Bryant usually gives a birthday coupon, but I don’t believe I have used that yet.  One of my close friends was coming to visit this month and I had been saving it to go shopping with her, but those plans fell through so I think I better use that quick!

Again…thanks so much to these companies for the birthday treats.  It really does make my day.

Trends: Off the shoulder top

I’m really enjoying the trend of of the shoulder tops.  I know it is not necessarily new, but I have always shied away from it in the past because I have larger breasts.  In the last few years though, I have begun to broaden my horizons and not be afraid to try out the new trends.  I have discovered the strapless bra from Lane Bryant which has allowed me to wear many tops that I would have considered to not be an option for me.  So, here I am sharing a picture of two ways that I have worn the Chambray off the shoulder top from Lane Bryant.  Enjoy!

My top favorite romantic movies

I was just sitting here thinking of all of the romantic movies that I can watch over and over and decided to share my list of top ten. Controversially, I would have added Fifty Shades of Grey to the list, but I  think I need to give it a few more years.  The Wedding Date was also a contender. What are some of your favorites?

Life Drama #3

Well, the saga continues with the woman living in the house in Wisconsin.  I had contacted the water company regarding the outstanding bill and they said that there could be a leak due to the extremely high bill.  They said they had sent a letter to the occupant but as of that day, no one from their office had been there to check the house.  I think she meant that they had not gotten a response to the letter sent.

So, I sent a letter to the tenant to give her 24 hour notice that someone would be at the house to inspect for water leaks and mow the lawn (which is her responsibility but has not been done).  I also text her this information as well.  She sends me a message back saying that the person (my uncle) can’t come that day but could come on Sunday.  I’m trying to be cordial to this girl even though she is being nasty to me.  I tell her that is fine but my uncle goes to church and can come after he gets out.

Today is Sunday.  Guess what?  My uncle gets there and her son tells him that he cannot come into the property because his mother is not home. See how this is playing out.  I request something, she requests to amend but then fails to follow through.  So my uncle can’t get into the property to check or fix leaks and meanwhile the water bill continues to increase MAJORLY.

By the way, per this girl, her son and daughter were moving out because of the eviction.  Everyone is still in the house.  Not paying rent.  Just squatting. And since this has all gone down, they have broken the glass in the front safety door.
